Natural Leather Characteristics

We use full-grain leather, a natural material made from animal hides. Each hide has its own unique grain, texture and markings, making every finished piece one of a kind.

Natural variations may include differences in colour, grain, wrinkles, scars, scratches, dents or other surface markings. Leather may also absorb dyes differently during the tanning process, resulting in slight variations in colour, tone and depth.

These natural characteristics are not manufacturing defects. They are part of the authenticity, character and beauty of genuine full-grain leather.

Please also note that product colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions, photography and individual screen settings.

General Product Safety

Our handmade products are accessories and are not toys.

Some products may contain small parts, metal hardware, magnets or detachable components that could present choking, ingestion or other injury hazards if misused.

Keep all products and loose components out of reach of babies, young children and pets. Inspect the product regularly and stop using it immediately if any component becomes loose, damaged or detached.

Junior Whale Shark and Retractable Keychain Safety

The Junior Whale Shark incorporates a commercially manufactured retractable keychain component sourced from a third-party supplier. The Parchment Leather does not manufacture the internal retracting mechanism.

The retractable component and its attachment to the finished handmade product are inspected before shipment. However, customers should continue to inspect the product regularly during use.

WARNING — NOT A TOY

This product contains small parts and a retractable cord. Small parts may present a choking hazard. The retractable cord may present an entanglement hazard, and the attached item may retract quickly if released while the cord is extended.

Keep out of reach of babies, young children and pets.

Do not wrap the cord around the neck, fingers, limbs or any other part of a person’s or animal’s body. Do not pull the cord beyond its normal extension length or release the attached item while the cord is extended.

Inspect the cord, casing, clip and attachments before each use. Stop using the product immediately if any component becomes loose, damaged, frayed, tangled or fails to retract normally.

Use only as an accessory and only for its intended purpose.
